Sat 22nd Feb: Specialist Class - Vegan Cheeze Workshop
“Learn the art of vegan cheeze-making with Chef Cat, and equip yourself with practical skills and techniques to make plant-based cheezes at home.”
In this specialist class we will be learning how to create vegan alternatives to cheese and other accompaniments, and the specific techniques involved in producing vegan cheeze. The class itself provides students with an intimate and practical knowledge of the processes involved in plant-based cheeze-making, enabling learners with the capability of making a variety of different textured and flavoured non-dairy cheezes. The class will be a mixture of demonstration, hands on cooking, with lots of tips, talking and tasting.
You will learn specific techniques to make vegan cheezes and accompaniments such as:
- Nut milks (base for cheezes)
- Garlic and herb cheeze
- “Mozzarella”
- Sun-dried tomato crackers
- Tangy cheddar style cheeze
